Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support, ensuring they achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role:
Supporting children with special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and other behavioural or learning challenges. Providing 1:1 or small group support in and outside the classroom. Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored interventions and activities. Fostering a safe and positive learning environment.
About You:
Have prior experience working with SEN children in a school or care setting. Be confident, patient, and resilient, with excellent interpersonal skills. Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Teaching Assistant or equivalent) desirable but not essential. Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Contract/Position Details:
Type of Work: Full-time, long-term contract. Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Duration: Ongoing, with the potential for extension.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must hold the right to work in the UK. Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered on the online update service, or be willing to process a new application. Provide two professional references related to working with children.
