We are recruiting 2 independent housing board members and 2 tenant board members. 2-year fixed term with the opportunity to extend for a further 2 years. Remuneration of £1,000 per annum plus expenses. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our newly formed Housing Board – Wealden and Tenants Together Housing Board. We are looking for 2 independent and 2 tenant board members. For independent board members only

- we are seeking those that have extensive housing knowledge and experience, however obtained. This could be through working for a Registered Provider or Local Authority or through work in the third sector whether in a voluntary or paid capacity.

For tenant board members

– this includes existing council tenants and shared owner leaseholders both general needs and Retirement Living. What will you be doing?

The purpose of this new board is to enable the voice of tenants to be heard and considered in the provision and development of the Council’s Housing Services. What do you need?

4 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at minimum Grade 4 (or C) in Maths and English. Good ICT skills. Strategic and critical thinker who can scrutinise information ensuring accuracy. Analytical as well as creative with the ability to solve problems. Collaborative player who can work as part of the board for the benefit of tenants, with the other members. What do we offer?
