Our rotations include: Elderly Care Unit , patients love our reminiscence groups Surgical Rehabilitation Team , our award winning early discharge service Acute Medical Team , work on our Intensive Care Unit Adult Community Rehabilitation Team , where you can develop splinting skills Community Neurological Rehabilitation , where you can experience Vocational Rehabilitation Stroke Unit , regularly scores highest in London for delivering intensive Stroke rehabilitation Rapid Response Team

in London’s best performing A&E Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Unit , will develop your cognitive assessment and rehabilitation skills Paediatrics , assessing and treating children at home and at school Mental Health Care of Older People , working alongside a specialist dementia care team Learning Difficulties , assessing and treating people with complex behaviour needs Acute Inpatient Psychiatry , develop your mental health assessment skills within recovery focus groups and 1:1 sessions Community Mental Health Services , CQC rated outstanding Main duties of the job

Take responsibility for managing a client caseload, prioritising as appropriate. Undertake holistic client-centred occupational therapy assessments using appropriate occupational therapy models of practice and assessment tools working as an autonomous practitioner. Plan occupational therapy interventions and rehabilitation programmes using a goal-oriented approach. Monitor and evaluate progress and adapt therapy interventions as appropriate. Our Band 5 training program focuses on making sure you have practical OT skills and develop those early on in the rotation to improve your confidence. We are also proud of our preceptorship program, our attitude towards supervision and support from our senior OTs. We believe we are also skilled at developing senior Band 5’s prior to moving onto Band 6 posts. Education/Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy Health and Care Professions Council Registered Occupational Therapist Experience

Undergraduate or post graduate experience of working in a variety of healthcare settings. Experience of continuing professional development Experience of working within a multicultural society. Knowledge

Knowledge of models of OT practice and practical application. Knowledge of the occupational therapy process and its application in clinical practice. Awareness of evidence-based practice. Skills/Abilities

Able to carry out culturally sensitive assessments using a range of appropriate assessment tools and models of practice. Able to formulate treatment goals/rehabilitation programmes for clients. Able to manage caseload and prioritise under pressure. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Clear, concise reporting skills. Able to work within a MDT. Trust Values
