Hertfordshire Division is recruiting! The post holder will be a member of the ward team, primarily working day duty, but internal rotation to nights may be necessary. The post holder may need to take responsibility for the shift in the absence of senior staff and will be responsible for the assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care, following the NMC Code of Conduct, Trust, and Hospital policies. A commitment to health promotion, teaching, and training is essential. Main duties of the job
Comply with the ward philosophy of care. Ensure the agreed standard of individualised nursing care is always provided. Carry out nursing activities within the guidelines set by the NMC and Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. Consider patient's customs, religious beliefs, and doctrines. Conduct clinical risk assessments based on individual patient needs. Administer medication safely and appropriately in line with Hospital policy and NMC Guidelines. Ensure patients achieve optimum comfort during their ward stay. Participate in the training and mentoring of pre-registered students and junior staff. Develop specialist skills and knowledge through participation in group work, committees, and workshops. Act as the patient’s advocate, raising concerns as necessary. Working for our organisation

Education/Qualifications
RGN/RN with current registration. NMC Registration. Evidence of continued professional development and post-registration training. Experience
Understanding of working in a rehabilitation unit or intermediate care setting. Knowledge of negotiating and liaising within a multi-disciplinary team. Experience of working with people with complex needs. Experience of supervising junior staff and coordinating a team. Experience of evidence-based care. Experience of undertaking comprehensive health needs assessments and writing care plans. Skills and Knowledge
Good written and verbal communication skills. Phlebotomy/male catheterisation or willingness to undertake training.
