Group Head of IT Cheshire Competitive Salary + Car Allowance, Private Medical & 8% Pension Do you want to lead IT strategy for an established organisation driving sustainability? We’re hiring a Group Head of IT to lead transformation across tech, data, and security. Ultimately, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives across application development, IT services, data, and security – and we’re looking for someone with ‘been there, done that’ experience across the full spectrum of technology. Ideally, this will have been in an organisation in the manufacturing space; and/or at least someone who understands the nuances of multi-site operations where technology is a real enabler. In addition to acting as an empowering, motivational leader for the in-house team, this organisation makes use of a range of third-party vendors for various functions such as IT service desk and their ERP system. You’ll oversee this network of partners, ensuring seamless service delivery and driving performance against SLAs. To summarise what we’re looking for: Proven experience in a technical leadership position, ideally with deep knowledge of one (or more) of the key focuses; application development, infrastructure, security and data/reporting Demonstrable success delivering first-rate technology solutions to support business operations A background working in an industry such as manufacturing, energy or oil and gas… this is ‘ideal’ but we appreciate that excellent candidates may bring experience from other sectors so don’t discount yourself on this alone Superb stakeholder management skills; ability to inspire confidence with ExCo and various business departments across the organisation – and also from a group setting You’ll oversee a £multi-million budget so commerciality is key Someone comfortable working in a hybrid capacity – three days per week on-site in their Cheshire HQ, proximity to location is important As the most senior technology leader in the business, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling a future-ready IT strategy for a successful pan-European organisation.
