Job offered by: Craft Gin Club

We're Craft Gin Club - the UK's biggest spirits subscription service.

For almost a decade, we've been redefining the way people discover and enjoy new drinks from the convenience of their home. From our successful Dragon's Den pitch to launching our new rum subscription and seeing our products appear on some of the UK High Street's most prestigious shelves, it's been quite the journey so far.

But there's much more to come as we look to embrace new spirits, new channels and new markets through which to grow our business.

As Craft Gin Club's Creative Copy Manager, you'll be the proud owner of our internal copy hub and the day-to-day guardian of our tone of voice, helping us bring our customer value proposition to life across all touch-points.

You'll put your wordsmithing super powers into action, creating inspiring copy and campaign ideas to help us engage our customers and hit our business goals.

You'll also manage a junior copywriter, and support them in levelling-up their skills.

Sitting within our internal creative team, this role reports to the Senior Marketing Campaign Manager and is part of the wider marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

Write copy for all channels, from emails and online journeys, to digital and print adverts, blog posts, magazine articles, product descriptions and social media ads / posts. You name it! Own the delivery of best-practice copy within the business, using data and competitor research to spearhead testing initiatives and drive incremental improvements. Work with the wider creative and marketing team to bring campaigns to life with emotive, engaging copy that showcases what makes Craft Gin Club different and special. Proofread and sign off all copy (with the support of your line-manager) to ensure it does our brand and product offering proud. Manage the copy workflow and assignment of tasks, ensuring that briefs are delivered accurately and on time. Manage and mentor a Junior Copywriter. Under the guidance of the Chief Brand Officer and Senior Marketing Campaign Manager, ensure that the team embraces the Craft Gin Club tone of voice and speaks in a cohesive way to all customers, across all channels. Requirements

EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years experience in a senior copywriting role, creating copy for online and offline channels, preferably within a D2C food, drink or lifestyle business. Experience writing CRM emails and other performance-based copy that has a specific goal to hit, be it signups or incremental revenue. Experience writing longer-form editorial content, with a story to tell. Demonstrable experience as a Tone of Voice guardian. Experience overseeing the work of other writers, and coaching / mentoring them along the way. Experience working as a brand creative, collaborating with designers and channel owners to devise concepts for campaigns. Skills & Attributes

Relevant university degree or experience/qualification. In depth interest in and understanding of retail brands, and the critical role copy has in helping a business engage, acquire and retain customers. Combination of faultless spelling, grammar and attention to detail, with a creative approach to language. Ability to respond creatively and conceptually to commercial challenges. A good understanding of the needs of different channels (website, print, emails, paid social, SEO, etc.). Organised, with great time management skills gained through working in fast paced environments. Able to work cross-functionally and build strong rapport and relationships across teams. Excellent people skills and a positive attitude. Flexible in approach and strong on teamwork. An interest in the world of drinks is a bonus! Benefits

Central London location with hybrid working (minimum 2 days in the office a week). Competitive salary. 25 days holiday rising with length of service. Flexible working hours. Career progression opportunities, with the chance to grow as we do. Dynamic working environment. Regular social events. Generous staff discount.
