If yes, Signature Recruitment is excited to be partnering with our client, a prestigious London University, for a Business Support Officer. This is a part time, temporary role with an immediate start, which will run for between six to eight weeks. It is offered on a hybrid working arrangement with two days across different campuses and one day working from home. As a Business Support Officer, you will be a key player working across the university to provide administrative support for important operational functions of ‘Education, Space, and People’. You will be involved in a wide range of tasks which will include responsibility for managing a shared inbox, dealing effectively and efficiently with initial queries and signposting when necessary. In addition, you will assist with tasks relating to facilities and financial administration of claims and expenses. You will also undertake other ad-hoc duties in order to assist colleagues and senior members of the Operations Team. Business Support Officer Key Responsibilities: Providing a key point of contact to PGR students, staff and academics – giving an efficient service via shared inbox, MS Teams and in-person queries Dealing with expense claims and payments – following appropriate process and procedure Responsibility for organising ‘space and infrastructure matters’ such as ensuring the smooth running of the ‘hot desking’ process, that common areas are presentable, reporting maintenance issues and ensuring their resolution Co-ordinating short courses, including managing room bookings, assisting external attendees, catering & other requirements Ordering equipment and other research support materials for PGR students Attending meetings and acting as a committee or meeting secretary producing well drafted Minutes Other ad-hoc administrative tasks and duties as required in order to support the university including tasks relating to Health and Safety activity Business Support Officer Key Skills:

Demonstrable experience in Higher Education administration, with a skillset in Business Operations A confident and proactive approach to handling tasks, a team player with good interpersonal skills, exceptional organisation, time management and meticulous attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent customer service with all stakeholders. In addition, good numerical skills with experience in processing financial transactions Highly Proficient IT skills including MS Office This position is ideal for someone looking for valuable administrative experience within a fast-paced busy academic environment.
