Maintenance Engineer – £45ph+ – Manufacturing

Maintenance Engineer - London Manufacturing Sector / Factory This is a hands-on role fixing machinery, and candidates must have relevant experience. Excellent company to work for, with positive feedback from Maintenance Engineers at other sites. The Maintenance Engineer rate is £42-45 per hour, with opportunities for overtime. The current Maintenance Engineer can work 60-70 hours if they wish. Location: East London/Essex (Gants Hill). Shifts: 12-hour days and nights. There is significant investment on site, with new equipment being installed in a fully automated environment. This position is a LONG TERM CONTRACT and can lead to a permanent role if desired. Maintenance Engineer Duties: Reactive and planned maintenance of production machinery. Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair. Minimize equipment downtime. Support on breakdowns. Assist with continuous improvement. Requirements for Maintenance Engineer: A formal engineering qualification to at least City & Guilds level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent, with corresponding practical experience. Good working knowledge of automated systems and production machinery. Experience from a manufacturing background. Proven mechanical and electrical experience.
