Credit Controller - Full time, in office About Them: Our client is a premier provider of commercial waste management services, dedicated to offering efficient and sustainable waste solutions to businesses across various industries. As they expand their operations, they are on the lookout for a motivated Credit Controller to join their dynamic team. About the Role: As a Credit Controller, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our clients' customers pay on time and minimizing bad debts. You'll work closely with both internal and external teams to provide excellent customer service while meeting their targets. Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of customers, ensuring payments are made on time. Provide top-quality customer service to both internal and external customers. Handle a high volume of customer calls. Keep customer records updated to avoid delays in invoicing or statements. Update their accounts system (Credit Hound) with details of all collection actions. Process card payments. Set up and manage electronic direct debit agreements. Issue copy invoices to customers when requested. Build strong relationships with customers. Handle statement reconciliations and WIP statements for effective communication. Escalate any issues to the Credit Control Team Leader. Manage customer queries through their query system. Experience & Skills: At least 2 years of experience in a credit control role, managing a high volume of transactions. Organised, customer-focused, and persistent in achieving goals. Comfortable handling statement reconciliations and working with online platforms like ProActis, Tradex, Dwellant, etc. Proven success in achieving cash collection targets and reducing aged debt. Qualifications: Essential: 2 years of credit control experience. Desirable: ICM Level 3 certification. Customer service experience. Key Skills: Essential: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Conflict resolution abilities. Confident and assertive telephone manner. Desirable: Experience with SAGE, SAGE CRM, AMCS, or Credit Hound. Knowledge: Essential: Knowledge of the full credit control process. Desirable: Familiarity with SAGE, SAGE CRM, AMCS, or Credit Hound.
