About the role The Digital team are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic candidate for the new Italian linguist role. This role will be responsible for the translation and the review of content translated into Italian for the Charlotte Tilbury website and App, plus all ongoing digital content, both BAU and campaign. Please note, this is a 12-month fixed term contract. As an Italian Linguist you will Proofread all Italian content, either AI translated or provided by 3rd party external agency. Write new blog content in Italian, optimised for SEO purposes. Provide translation for ad-hoc tasks. Provide transcreation of tag lines and creative content. Maintain Italian style guide and glossary. Share linguistic feedback on Italian translations with the localisation vendor, to elevate the overall quality. Carry out regular in-context review on the Charlotte Tilbury site and app. Check email tests in Italian and provide feedback to the team. Check Italian translated designs and implement feedback. Provide guidance for Italian related queries for the entire business, and act as main point of reference. Process translation requests using the TMS, liaising with the support team in case of any issues and/or questions. Occasionally coordinate translation briefs from the Digital team placing orders with the agency and deliver back to the teams (website, App, email, performance marketing, affiliates, Tech). Occasionally assist with uploads of translated copy directly into the CMS. Who you will work with You will report into the Translation Manager and work within the Digital Content Team. About you Native fluency in Italian. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Experienced in translating content, preferably for beauty and luxury. Solid knowledge of how keyword and SEO work. Someone who thrives working within a fast-paced environment and is able to continually adapt. Quick learner and loves new technologies. Both creative and numerical. Reliable, passionate, and willing to think limitless. Highly organised, with attention to detail and strong project management skills. Experience with main CAT Tools and translation technologies (experience/knowledge with XTM is a plus). Experience with managing translations or content is a plus but not essential. Subtitling knowledge is desired but not essential. Knowledge of design systems like PhotoShop, Figma, Sketch, etc. is desired but not essential. Other Skills Ability to work with tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability and willingness to train/teach others and pass on knowledge. Ability to work within a remote team.
