Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their team in York on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of financial processes. Key Responsibilities:
Credit control - Chasing customers for invoices Answering customer queries Releasing orders Creating credit notes Refunding customers by bank transfer Paying vendors by bank transfer Allocating cash receipts in different currencies Doing credit checks on customers Posting vendor invoices Provide general administrative support to the finance team. Requirements:
Proven experience within finance, particularly within credit control or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software SAP would be an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
