Your new company I am partnered exclusively with a leading manufacturer, based in Rossendale, who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to replace a long-standing employee who has been with the company for over 20 years. They have built an excellent reputation for quality, innovation, and reliability, serving their niche industry for decades. This is a rare opportunity to join a small, but thriving and steady business to manage their full finance process.

Your new role In your new role as Finance Manager, you will report to the Managing Director and have all the responsibilities of a finance professional, focusing on month-end close activities, financial reporting, cash management, rebates and accruals, compliance and audits, payroll and pensions, and intercompany and external reporting. Running sales and rebate reports Performing cash flow forecasts Preparing and posting month-end journals Updating financial reports Reconciling balance sheet accounts Managing cash books Processing IFA rebates Ensuring compliance with financial regulations Assisting with audits Processing a small payroll Maintaining exchange rate spreadsheets Supporting all transactional accounting including purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control You will ensure debtor days are kept to a minimum and all invoices are processed timely and accurately. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday with an early lunchtime finish on the Friday afternoon.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful for this role, you will have experience working in a small to medium-sized business, where you have managed the full accounts process, or be happy to have the transactional element as part of your daily role. You will be AAT qualified (or qualified by experience) to a minimum, with proven experience in a finance management role, strong knowledge of financial regulations, proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

What you'll get in return In return, you will be offered a salary of approx. £35,000 depending on experience. You will be provided with a flexible working policy, lunchtime finishes on Fridays, and enhanced holidays. You will be given full autonomy to manage this role as best you see fit, being the main point of contact in Finance.
