To ensure that staff, patients, and visitors are assisted at all times in a manner that reflects positively on the Trust and the service. This post provides support to Pharmacy stores and distribution at the Royal Brompton Hospital. To interact with other staff and patients both in person and over the telephone and the need to work quickly and accurately under pressure. To ensure that infection prevention and control is an integral part of service delivery. Main duties of the job
To collect and deliver drugs, boxes, supplies, and documentation to Pharmacy and, where required, between Pharmacy and ward and departmental areas. To follow all local policies and procedures to ensure the secure delivery of these articles. To complete, in a timely manner, any urgent requests for collection and delivery of articles between Pharmacy and clinical, outpatient, or reception areas. To ensure that all medicines and related documents are transferred in a safe, secure, and timely manner. To work in Pharmacy stores - receiving and checking orders ensuring that they are correct before entering onto the Pharmacy computer system and putting away, processing dispensary requisitions, processing ward and department orders, checking returns from wards, and if suitable returning to Pharmacy stock.
