Cost Accountant/ Accounting Analyst

Job Purpose: The primary point of contact for the accounts department, responsible for maintaining sales, purchase, and nominal ledger accounts, and assisting with banking activities. Possesses a strong understanding of material and labour cost analysis, and adept at conducting variance analysis of overheads. Key Duties Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities Cost analysis including materials, labour, overheads, inventory, product costing and pricing. Assist in Bank and Petty cash reconciliations. Monitor and report departmental overhead variance analysis against Budget/Forecast. Assisting in month-end process Skills and Attributes: Good numeracy skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word. Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail and strong time management skills. Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information. Excellent Communication Skills at any levels. Reliable, flexible and able to work on own initiative. Qualifications And Experience Levels: AAT or CIMA part qualified. Proven work experience and knowledge in Financial and Manufacturing Costing, and accounting procedures. Knowledge of ledger accounts, banking methods. Understanding of cash flow principles is essential.
