A well-established manufacturer, part of a multi-billion dollar corporation exporting 98% of its products to leading global brands, is seeking a Production Process Engineer to identify and lead projects in production equipment layout with improvement in current technology and processes, supporting current and future production lines that will include new technology for all associated equipment and engineering aspects.

You will have a degree in mechanical/process engineering or be apprentice trained/similar calibre with excellent planning, change control, managing the process from start to finish, and comply with HSE whilst understanding the effect on product and process if the work is not completed to a required standard. Working within a fast-moving full life-cycle environment, you will have a minimum of 3-5 years exposure within a production process engineer role.

You'll take responsibility for planning your own workload, influencing personal training and establishing appropriate timelines for long-term projects, communicating effectively within Production Engineering, Facilities, R&D, and Quality, in areas such as process changes and equipment changes, to develop and ensure any/all necessary validation/engineering study protocols are compliant from a regulatory perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead teams with Installation and Validation of processes and equipment. Work with the teams, identifying areas of improvement to improve the department's throughput. Liaise closely with R&D to ensure all new equipment is correctly defined for delivery and performance. Ensure NPD processes are transferred into manufacturing, fit for purpose, “Right First Time” approach. Lead and generate FMEA & Risk Assessments driving delivery of improved projects. Develop all necessary validation/engineering study & protocols along with the Quality Engineers. Assist in developing clear, logical, and efficient procedures for all equipment for set-up & shut down. Update any assembly/equipment procedures as required ensuring compliance & provide training. Formulate/advise on plant/equipment, assist in achieving maximum uptime of all equipment. Ensure all equipment is maintained within expected frequencies & faults reported are dealt with effectively. Update the maintenance system for continued compliance supporting issues that impact production. Comply with and support the HSE policies and procedures, ensuring all H&S audits accordingly. Identify areas of improvement through supporting internal/external audits compliant to Quality System. Address any CAPAs assigned to the Process Engineering Team ensuring effective completion.
