The Cat Care Co Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom We are seeking a dependable and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Cat Sitter on a self-employed contractor basis.

The role primarily involves driving between houses in the

Oldham and Tameside

area, caring for cats and small pets in clients’ homes. You would regularly be making between 2 and 8 visits per day across a 15 mile radius - therefore own transport is essential.

This role cannot be completed using public transport.

You will need to manage your own schedule and travel routes to ensure timely visits.

Morning visits must occur between 5:30 am and 10:30 am, while evening visits are scheduled between 3:30 pm and 8:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide attentive care for cats and small animals, including feeding, cleaning, playtime, and companionship. Follow clients’ specific instructions to ensure pets’ needs are met. Use your own mobile phone to send detailed reports and photos to clients through our app. Maintain clear and professional communication with The Cat Care Co. and clients. Manage your own time and travel routes efficiently to meet visit schedules.

Essential Criteria:

Own car with valid business insurance. Full, clean driving license. Clean DBS check (cost covered by The Cat Care Co.). A love for animals and experience handling cats. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with technology, including use of your own mobile phone with a camera for client reports. Commitment to completing feline first aid training. Available 7 days per week in the mornings and evenings to conduct visits.

Additional Details:

Hours are not guaranteed and depend on the volume of client bookings. Travel expenses are not reimbursed but can be claimed as a tax exemption through HMRC. The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting their own tax returns.

Rates of Pay:

£7.50 for a 15-minute visit. £10.00 for a 30-minute visit. £12.50 for a 45-minute visit. £15.00 for a 60-minute visit.
