Plant Operator – Power Station

Plant Operator/Assistant - Power Station 40,000 + Benefits & Bonus Slough We are currently recruiting a Plant Assistant and/or Weighbridge Operator for a New Build Energy from Waste Power Station in Slough, Berkshire. This role is based on a shift pattern working days and nights. Package Details A competitive starting salary of 28,000 per annum. Plus a 5,000 Shift Allowance. Additional uplift after probation. Bonus available. Benefits package including family healthcare. Job Brief As the Weighbridge Operator, you will be responsible for: Ensure the weighbridge operates accurately and efficiently. Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times when dealing with drivers, visitors, and contractors. Ensure a high level of security at the site is maintained at all times. Programme and issue swipe cards and visitor passes, ensuring they are suitably inducted prior to access on site. Accurately record all information regarding weights and types of waste in the document management system. Understand PPC Permit requirements and legal requirements for the movement of waste. Ensure customers comply with legislation when delivering and collecting from the site, ensuring all documentation is signed and retained within the document management system. Induct all drivers onto the site and ensure they follow the Company's safety rules. Perform general administrative duties. Cover for colleagues' annual leave may be required. Experience in Heavy Industrial; Recycling, Aggregate, Power Generation is extremely desirable. At least 5+ years of experience operating mobile plant. Mobile plant / forklift truck experience is desirable but not essential. The Person This role would suit an experienced person within Heavy Industrial Engineering or a similar industry.
