Due to growth, my client is looking for a Senior/Principal Transport Planner to join their thriving team in the Birmingham office.
The team has developed and grown to a wide range of projects and clients that cover a diverse set of schemes all across the UK, which includes Residential, Retail, and Education.
The role:
You will be:
Working on and Managing complex Transport Planning Projects Taking lead on the development and delivery of the Projects Working on the promotion of development sites from Site Identification/acquisition, plus planning applications, submission, and discharge of planning conditions Working alongside the Transport team to deliver top of the range Consultancy Advice, liaising and getting a firm understanding of Clients Requirements and effectively managing resources Helping support and mentor more junior staff while continuing to develop your Project Management and commercial skills
Ideally, you would have a firm understanding of Transport Planning Policy and Delivery of projects to clients.
Experience wise, you would need to demonstrate: Experience with Transport Statements, Assessments, and Travel Plans Parking Strategies, Sustainable Transport, Section 278 and 106 agreements and guidance such as NPPF Use of the TRICS database Working use of PICADY and ARCADY, as well as an understanding of LINSIG Transport Modelling, and why this is useful Junction design (Roundabout, Signals)
