We are recruiting midwives with a current interest in working in Antenatal Clinic, Community and Enhanced Teams, or Maternity Triage and Day Assessment Unit. All preferences will be considered for successful candidates.
Applicants are welcome from NMC registrants who are highly motivated and passionate about providing high quality, evidence-based care. The post holder will work as a member of our team, providing and leading midwifery care to service users and families.
Successful applicants will receive a comprehensive orientation programme and appropriate support and development.
Responsibilities:
Provide high quality, safe, evidence-based care across all settings, applying knowledge and skills to meet the individual needs of women and families. Facilitate informed decision making throughout the pregnancy continuum. Practice within the parameters of Trust policies and guidelines, and within scope of practice. Work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team and other agencies when necessary. Practice autonomously and escalate appropriately. Manage workload and time effectively. Establish and maintain effective communication with women and their families. Encourage health promotion in line with the public health agenda. Appropriately report incidents in line with the Trust reporting process. Protect and safeguard women and babies. Act as a role model and mentor to all grades of staff and students, creating a positive learning environment for all. Maintain NMC registration through revalidation and compliance with mandatory training and ongoing professional development.
