Job Description - Cardiac Rehab Nurse (250113-50003733)
Purpose of Position:
Under the direction of the Medical Director and in collaboration with Nursing Directors, Supervisors, directs all facets of the cardiac rehabilitation program, including implementing medical exercise prescription accurately, maintaining safety standards, and performing administrative and public relations aspects of the program. Practices according to entity mandatory requirements. Practices according to department expectations. Practices with a customer service approach to all activities. Complies with all administrative policies and procedures. Demonstrates ability to successfully manage multiple projects and responsibilities. Performs with knowledge of effective communication practices. Performs as part of the interdisciplinary team. Demonstrates basic computer ability. Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal skills. Addresses age-specific needs of adults and older adults. Provides quality care for cardiac rehab patients. Reviews and collects pertinent medical data on patients in Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. Assesses individual needs, and devises a plan of care to meet physiological, psychosocial and educational needs. Documents care provided. Documents observed responses to exercise program. Maintains communication with Primary Care Physician. Evaluates patients' progress in exercise and educational phases of program. Is responsible for safety and well-being of the patient in an exercise environment. Other duties may be assigned. Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers in a manner that reflects Falmouth Hospital’s commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and service. Qualifications
Current MA Nursing Licensure required. Three years experience in coronary critical care required. Maintains BLS and ACLS. Organization
