Quality Manager position based in Oldham. Senior Management role with a growing manufacturing company. Client Details Our client is a growing, well-established industrial manufacturing company based in Oldham. Following an internal promotion, they are now recruiting a Quality Manager. Description This role is key in leading, managing, and developing the Quality Department to achieve business plan objectives. The Quality Manager will have responsibility for on-time manufacturing of high-quality products through leadership of employees, planning, and execution of work. As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for promoting the company's absolute focus on safety as a number one priority, maintaining quality management systems and all relevant approvals, and driving down DPPM and NCR rates to supply chains, improving factory first pass yield. Your focus will be on zero defects. This role has a real focus on rolling up your sleeves and putting in the work to make change, and inspire how the organization thinks about the purpose of a strong Quality team. This position will suit an experienced people leader in a quality management role! Profile You will be a proven quality manager with exposure to industrial manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, fabrication, welding, and the general production of mechanically engineered precision components. Experience Requirements Detailed understanding of ISO9001 requirements and principles Quality leadership experience for a business manufacturing engineered products Good knowledge of processes, including HS&E best practices Demonstrated application of Lean/Continuous improvement tools in manufacturing The Successful Candidate Able to balance the short-term focus on results with longer-term interests Adaptable and able to cope with the unexpected and manage problems Strong problem-solving skills to develop customer and business-focused results Job Offer £60,000 to £70,000 plus bonus and benefits.
