One Hamster About this client/child:

Eric (8) lives with his two Mums and younger sister (2.5) in Ladbroke Grove, London. Eric has many interests, including Harry Potter, Minecraft, magic, baking, slime making, board games, and arts and crafts. He adores pigs and has a pig-themed bedroom. Eric has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), and he is currently attending school for a few hours in the morning. Eric is verbal and independent with all aspects of his personal care. He can sometimes struggle with transitions, if he is tired, or if he is not so keen on the next activity. During these times, he may become dysregulated and exhibit some behaviours that may challenge. Positive and gentle encouragement is helpful in supporting him through these moments and assisting him in navigating changes. Overview of role:

We are currently looking to recruit a new SEN Manny (Male Nanny) to support Eric in the afternoons. The family offers flexibility regarding shift length and days worked. Eric is home from school each weekday afternoon, and the family is seeking a Manny who can engage him in activities he loves. This could include arts and crafts, baking at home, or visiting one of the many museums or galleries in London, all just a short train ride away. On nice days, Eric enjoys spending time in local parks or at city farms. Occasionally, Eric's younger sister may join for outings, so the Manny must be comfortable taking sole charge of both children during these times. Eric's mums are looking for someone who can introduce some structure and routine to the afternoons, ideally a Manny who is proactive in planning and organising activities ahead of time. While no domestic tasks are required, preparing a simple evening meal for both children and tidying up after yourself is important. Eric will respond well to someone with enthusiasm, a good sense of humour and a positive outlook. There are up to four shifts available each week, and the family is also open to candidates who are available for just three shifts. Who this job would suit:

This role will suit a male candidate with enthusiasm, a positive outlook and a good sense of humour. Someone experienced working with children on the autistic spectrum, perhaps from a school environment, who would like the opportunity to work in a family home setting. What’s great about this job:

This role offers great rates of pay in a lovely location, and the opportunity to support Eric in his ongoing development, which will be an incredibly rewarding experience. Who is recruiting for this role?

Snap Care will be carrying out all recruitment including shortlisting, recruiter interviews and arranging employer interviews. Please note, unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship for any of our vacancies. When a specific gender is essential, it is considered a genuine occupational requirement under paragraph 1, schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, for a female or male worker to work with our client.
