The Marketing and PR Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic communication plans to meet Museum targets for income generation and visitor participation, which includes the promotion of exhibitions, public events, and charitable programmes. Key Accountabilities

Develop and implement campaigns and manage marketing projects, including media advertising and media relations. Write creative and factual copy for various audiences and marketing channels. Manage potentially negative media and advise colleagues on strategies. Maintain relationships with external partners, agencies, and consultants. Oversee production and distribution of marketing material. Monitor and evaluate press coverage and marketing performance. Manage a range of internal and external events. Act as a brand guardian to maintain consistent application of the Museum brand. Deputise for the Senior Communications Manager as needed. Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Skills: Strong communication skills PR and marketing techniques Ability to write engaging press releases and promotional copy Campaign planning Ability to build relationships, especially with the media Enthusiastic, confident, and self-motivated Flexible and able to work under pressure Attention to detail and proofreading Numerate Knowledge: PR and Marketing functions Print, broadcast, and online media Advertising and print production Event planning Market data interpretation Good knowledge of GDPR practices Experience: Working in a marketing or communications role Creative and factual copywriting Project managing campaigns Collaborative working with colleagues and partners Organising events Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
