Predominantly Home Working Key Responsibilities: Deliver regulatory decisions on authorisation, re-authorisations and any amendments to regulatory contracts issued in accordance with the organisations Authorisation Framework, meeting organisational KPIs and fulfilling expectations of internal and external stakeholders. Provide management oversight to a team of Regulatory and Senior Regulatory Officers and Regulatory Assistants, establishing clearly defined roles and responsibilities, providing strong performance management and a commitment to improving capability and skills. Leading by example, developing a team culture, which demonstrates a positive, customer focused and risk-based approach to taking decisions; ensuring all processes and systems support this culture. Delivery of an interface with applicants which meets expectations of quality of service, timeliness and ease of doing business with the organisation. Developing and maintaining effective operational processes to ensure the successful delivery of authorisations decisions, by the team. Ensuring a risk and evidence-based approach is applied to all authorisations decisions, by developing and updating appropriate review processes. Minimum Requirements: Degree or relevant work experience Experience in higher education and working with universities Significant management experience with focus on delivering high volume casework with legal decisions. Experience of developing operational regulatory policies and processes to support effective decision making in teams. Understanding of the regulatory environment in which decisions are being made and ability to grasp technical knowledge quickly. Seniority level
