9am-6pm About Our Client: Our Client is focused on helping people stay connected through Our Client’s Horizon, an expanding virtual world where users can create, explore, and interact. As a 3D Environment Artist, you’ll play a key role in building these virtual environments and assets for creators to use. Role Overview: We are looking for a talented and creative 3D Environment Artist to join our team. You will collaborate with other artists and technical professionals to create immersive environments for the verse. Your work will involve designing and delivering virtual environments, assets, and props. Key Responsibilities: Design and create realistic, visually stunning environments and assets. Deliver assets on time and according to specifications, including environments, props, and variations. Work closely with art and technical teams to ensure quality and consistency. Collaborate with external vendors, providing feedback on their work to ensure quality standards are met. Top 3 Must-Have Hard Skills: Portfolio Attached – Texturing breakdown of items they made – example of scene put together and composition skill – low poly work. Games experience. Engine experience. Good to Have Skills: Substance designer. Tackle the whole environment to trees, sky, and ground. Hold a vision and high craft. Minimum Qualifications: Strong communication and teamwork skills. Portfolio that shows your ability to create environments and deliver assets to game engines. Experience with setting up environments, understanding quality, and solving any technical issues with the content. Proficient in software like Maya, ZBrush, Substance, and game engines. Strong artistic skills, including an understanding of form, lighting, and composition. Experience creating low-poly assets for real-time platforms like mobile and VR. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with lighting and optimizing scenes. Experience working with external vendors. Ability to add simple animations and effects to environments.
