An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Staff Nurse to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Arnold, Nottinghamshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers. This hospital provides acute adult mental health services, delivered in partnership with the area's healthcare trust. They have a medium secure service on site for patients with a learning disability, and we are looking to develop other service types in the future. To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin. As a Senior Staff Nurse your key responsibilities include: Supervising a defined group of team members and contributing to their overall CPD, mandatory training, and appraisal process recognising the skills required across the team. Monitoring and reviewing Nursing Care plans. Evaluating and responding to changes in patients' condition and needs. Providing a high standard of care to people with mental illness and personality disorder. Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement. Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress. Leading shifts as well as mentoring and supporting student nurses and other members of the team. Following all codes of conduct, standards, and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice. The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: Understanding of care planning processes and familiarity with clinical assessment tools. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to work within a team as well as independently. Demonstrating initiative and being adaptive and flexible. Showing a can-do attitude always. The successful Senior Staff Nurse will receive an excellent annual salary of £39,511.68 - £42,073.20 per annum DOE. We currently have permanent vacancies for both days and night shifts available.
