It is an exciting time to join the Highways Service at Rochdale Council. We have a stimulating opportunity for an Assistant Engineer to join the Network Management team. We are working with a number of key stakeholders across the Borough to provide Highway Network Management proposals. You will work on key projects to improve the Highway network across the Borough, working through all aspects of the projects; developing concept designs, securing funding, public consultations, ensuring successful delivery of Network Management schemes through to commissioning the delivery of the proposals. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with highly developed interpersonal, organisational and negotiation skills, whom in return will receive excellent local government benefits, a supportive senior leadership team, and have the opportunity to really shape our highway network. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a Highway Network Management & Road Safety environment.
