The Evidence Emergency project is a critical initiative within the Wildlife Trusts federation aimed at addressing the urgent need for robust, data-driven decision-making in conservation efforts. This project recognises the growing importance of digital technologies and data analytics in understanding and protecting wildlife and habitats across the UK.
Funded by Heritage Fund, the project's main goals include enhancing the collection, analysis, and sharing of ecological data across the Wildlife Trusts network, as well as developing innovative digital solutions to support conservation work. It seeks to build capacity for data-driven decision-making while fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing across the federation. A key part of the project is supporting the development of the Wildlife Trust’s Centre of Excellence which will serve to highlight a variety of evidence-based, innovative projects across the federation from which others can learn.
Responsibilities
Support the collection, analysis, and sharing of ecological data.
Develop innovative digital solutions for conservation work.
Manage projects using relevant software.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Contribute to evidence-led conservation efforts.
Qualifications
In-depth understanding of digital technologies and data analytics.
Awareness of the UK nature crisis.
Project management experience.
Strong communication skills.
Flexible and adaptable approach.
