Configuration Management Support Engineer. Bristol / Hybrid (M5 / M4 / M32 area). 12 month fixed-term contract. My client is a rapidly expanding Engineering Consultancy, engaged for an exciting aerospace programme. They employ over 16,000 people across 22 countries and house some of the best talent in the industry, attracted by their exciting portfolio (spanning over 300 clients globally) and their excellent reputation in the marketplace. They are now looking for a CM Support Engineer to join them on this project.

Does this sound like the exciting next step in your career? As an integral part of the department, you will take ownership of providing professional, specialist configuration management services. The key responsibilities of your new role as Configuration Management Support Engineer are as follows: Identifying technical problems and applying/integrating solutions. Identifying improvements and supporting the creation of work instructions, procedures, technical manuals, and guidelines. Supporting the creation of technical solutions against customer requirements; input to bids and proposals within assigned programmes/projects. Acting as the configuration management support to the CM function on nominated programmes. Facilitating and maintaining Change Control Boards (CCB’s). Processing Engineering Coordination Memo (“ECM’s”). Creating and maintaining the CM plan(s) within the assigned programmes. Managing the product data in the GKN PLM system. Supporting or generating test specifications/plans and/or alternate means of compliance (analysis/similarity) as required to demonstrate design solution complies with certification requirements. Supporting technical and customer reviews, including formal gate reviews; creating and preparing technical data and presentations of product design. Supporting the release of engineering design data and customer release data. My client is keen to find someone with significant Windchill and Catia experience. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, PLM, and 3D Experience. Good written and verbal English skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines and customer demands are essential. In return, my client offers competitive remuneration, dependent on experience, and a hybrid working model between their office, the client’s site, and home.
