To provide a stable, secure, safe and stimulating environment for all children, including SEN children, which meet their social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs and support all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Key Responsibilities: To deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) and understand child development, especially with babies. To work effectively as a full member of a team to ensure good practices in relation to childcare are maintained. To plan and organise individual and group programmes in partnership with children, parents/carers and ensure that all daily activities effectively meet the developmental needs of the children. Providing care for children, setting routines, developing/encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialising, and specific 1:1 with SEND children. Ensuring children are learning positive behaviour and providing guidance/support. Preparing children for transition (other room, setting or school). To write/type regular observations on children and link accordingly to the relevant framework, including assessment, 2-year reports or any other required record keeping. To carry out all legal requirements such as Health and Safety including hygiene practice and infection control (sterilising and disinfecting), Food Hygiene, Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding and to keep all records. To provide high standards with regards to Ofsted requirements or other agreed targets. To attend regular staff meetings using different mediums (online, face to face, call or video call). To complete regular training on statutory requirements such as safeguarding, First aid, Health and safety/infection control and food hygiene. To take active part in the daily cleaning routine with and around children. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as required by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation. People: Responsible to: Managers and Nursery Owner Liaison with: other staff members, students/volunteers, parents/carers, visitors and other agencies such as RHOSEY, schools, children’s centre. Person Specification Essential: Excellent communication skills and commitment to building positive relationships with children/adults (parents/carers, staff, other agencies). Driven, passionate, dependable and flexible with a personal commitment to continuous development and high standards. Attentiveness to the needs and safety of children. Trustworthy and honest to reflect the values of the nursery. Everyone matters regardless of gender, race, culture, age, capability, orientation or religion. Qualification in Childcare, Health & Social care or teaching. Experience with children, mainly with babies. Job Types:

Do you have a current DBS for working with children? What days and times can you work? We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.30pm. Can you work during school holidays (13 weeks) or all year round (52 weeks)? When can you start working? Do you need to give notice to your previous employer? Please confirm what is your highest qualification in childcare. You will be required to do a trial in the nursery for 3 hours from the week beginning 3rd February 2025 from 9.30am to 12.30pm or 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
