We're committed to investing in people with potential, which is why we've created our IT Technical Trainee Scheme. This programme offers a fantastic opportunity to build your IT career, whether you're joining our Telephony Centre of Excellence, Service Desk teams, or ServiceNow Application Team. Each of these areas provides unique hands-on experiences, enabling you to contribute to vital business operations while learning from experts and gaining industry-recognised qualifications. This programme also supports your development in key soft skills like problem-solving, collaboration, and communication, preparing you for a long-term career in IT. With a supportive cohort and mentoring throughout the journey, you'll have everything you need to succeed. What you can expect

Your experience in the programme will depend on the team you join, giving you the chance to build expertise in a specific area of IT: Telephony Centre of Excellence: Supporting over 3,500 call handlers and ensuring smooth operations for 14,000 daily calls, with further expansion on the horizon. Service Desk: Acting as the first point of contact for IT queries and using tools like ServiceNow to provide seamless support across the business. You'll also have the opportunity to complete a Digital Support Technician apprenticeship, equipping you with essential IT skills. ServiceNow Application Team: Maintaining and enhancing the platform that underpins many of our business processes, developing custom solutions, and collaborating with teams to automate processes and improve efficiency. You'll also work towards professional qualifications relevant to your role. Examples include: ITIL 4 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management. ServiceNow Certified Administrator (for ServiceNow roles). SIAM and specialised monitoring courses (for Telephony roles). Apollo 13 IT Service Management Business Game - a unique, hands-on learning experience. The specific qualifications and training opportunities will vary depending on the team, ensuring you gain the knowledge and skills needed for these roles and for further progression with these teams or the wider IT division. You'll not only develop technical expertise but also build essential skills like resilience, organisation, and customer focus. Through a combination of training, shadowing, and mentoring, you'll be well-prepared for a successful career in IT. Entry criteria

At least 2 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification. Whether you're a school leaver, career changer, or someone with a keen interest in IT, this scheme is for you.
