We're partnered with an award-winning, legal 500 ranked law firm who are looking for a Property Paralegal to join the Property team, based in Leeds. This role is the perfect opportunity to progress a career in property law and gain excellent exposure to a broad range of work in a busy and friendly team.
Responsibilities include:
Identify titles at the Land Registry and obtain Official Copy Entries and documents.
Perform title checks and property due diligence.
Conduct and review property searches.
Obtain documents from Local Authorities and third parties.
Chase clients and third parties for outstanding items.
Carry out pre-completion Land Registry searches.
Handle post-completion matters.
Review title registers and plans for Deeds of Variation.
Obtain and identify relevant documents for Deeds of Variation.
Liaise with Councils and third parties, chasing responses and addressing queries.
Draft planning application forms, deeds, and covering letters.
Provide progress reports to Clients, Partners, and Solicitors.
Support the organisation, monitoring, and delivery of significant team transactions.
Provide cover and support for other paralegals as required.
Meet set targets.
Adhere to department procedures, Solicitors' accounts rules, and firm policies.
Undertake duties relevant to the Paralegal role, including adapting to new systems and technology.
What we need from you:
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of DMS (Document management system).
Previous Conveyancing/Property/ Real Estate experience in a legal setting.
