About The Role Our client is currently looking for an immediate starting Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent. You will be working specifically on the AWAC project in the North West.

While the position is currently available as a contract role, there is an internal request for a permanent post. However, this permanent role is unlikely to be filled for the next 6-8+ months due to internal processes and interviews.

Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the AWAC project, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget. Chair and facilitate project meetings, ensuring effective communication and decision-making. Work autonomously and take the initiative to resolve issues and deliver project milestones. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure project success. Utilise IT systems, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to support project administration and reporting. Training and guidance will be provided to support your success in the role. Essential Requirements Previous project management experience within the rail industry is highly desirable. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to chair meetings confidently. Ability to work independently and use your initiative to drive projects forward. A proactive approach and a willingness to learn and adapt.
