ASSISTANT SHOP MANAGER
Position available in Glasgow city centre, in an independent multi-award winning gift shop. The candidate
must have management experience in retail , have a high standard of customer service, lots of energy, and a warm approachable manner! The hours will be 28-35 hours a week. The role will start temporary with a view to going permanent. A bit about the role! As Assistant Shop Manager, you'll be customer facing in our busy wee gift shop in the city centre of Glasgow. You will spend the majority of your time hands-on managing workflow and our wonderful team. It's a mixed hands-on role where you will lead by example. You will help manage the shop floor, process incoming deliveries, manage stock, build up displays, and help maintain the shop to a high standard. The person We are looking to recruit an
exceptionally warm, friendly , and passionate individual. They must be on the ball, have a
high level of customer service , and possess a
positive outlook . Please do not apply if you are shy. We need someone with a shop presence and confidence. It's a
high-paced environment , with lots going on, so the candidate must be a balanced individual who can work with multi-tasking skills. Ideally, the candidate will have previous merchandising skills. Although not essential, it would be advantageous if the applicant has worked in the gift industry before and understands the importance of that special touch required.
