The post holder will manage the operational performance of the Community Emergency Medicine Service (CEMs) in the Division of Medicine. The post holder will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating performance and day-to-day operations of the service. Working closely with the Assistant General Manager and Divisional Management team, the post holder will contribute to the management of the community emergency medicine service across the Bristol site. This role includes deputising for the Assistant General Manager as required for the CEMs service. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of performance and governance targets through effective communication and liaison with Consultants, medical, and admin staff across the Trust on a day-to-day basis. Main duties of the job

Maintain a fully rotational staffing plan for the CEMs within required service levels. Act as point of contact for the senior management team and CEMs clinical leads regarding the day-to-day management of the service. Ensure effective delivery of staff training/development, to enable a flexible trained workforce to meet service delivery challenges. Attend and participate in various meetings within the service, Division, and Trust. Assist the Assistant General Manager in the achievement of all relevant performance and KPI targets, utilising cross-divisional resources where necessary. Produce monthly reports outlining service activity and outcomes to be shared with Divisional and SWAST leads. Resolve informal complaints and redirect complex issues to the appropriate manager or team. Support the CEMs Governance lead in responding to investigations and incidents. Ensure service risk assessments are current and that mitigating actions are taken. Facilitate service redesign projects in the Division to improve the quality and timeliness of care.
