Overview The role will be to join a new office in Market Deeping, which houses the Regenovation and Traxxis brands, at the cutting edge of innovation. As part of a small team with autonomy to tackle challenging problems in agriculture, the role will require CAD, light assembly, prototyping, communication with customers, ordering, among other tasks. Due to the small team, the role will not be purely CAD-based. Responsibilities Develop and design mechanical components and systems using CAD software, primarily SolidWorks. Create detailed schematics and documentation for manufacturing processes. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot design issues and implement effective solutions. Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements. Utilise GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles in the design process to ensure accuracy and quality. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in design engineering. Assist in the testing and evaluation of prototypes, providing feedback for improvements. Communicate confidently with customers. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred). Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD software, and GD&T principles. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems and components. Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in design is an advantage. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
