Shape A Better World
through life-changing education and research. Providing the key infrastructure required to deliver the vision and strategic priorities of Strategy 2030 will require a step change in the design and construction of the university’s ‘built environment’ to align with their Net Zero Plan. To help realise this exciting ambition Queen’s are now seeking to appoint a
Director of Estates
to lead the re-imagination of their campus in support of a new paradigm for higher education. Reporting to the Vice-President and Chief Finance and Resources Officer, Paddy Anderson, the incoming Director of Estates will drive the highest levels of service provision to enhance the student and academic experience, reinforce the centrality of the University to the city and its communities, and ensure that the estate acts as a fundamental enabler for achieving the university’s ambitions. They will ensure that property and infrastructure is a key strategic enabler for Queen’s future ambitions. The new Director will have substantial senior leadership experience gained across multiple areas of relevance to the portfolio, combined with a proven ability to drive improvement across a complex environment. A commercial outlook, coupled with the intellectual acuity and emotional intelligence to engage effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, inherent in a progressive academic environment, will be vital. Queen’s University is committed to promoting equality of opportunity to all. We have created an inclusive culture by establishing staff networks such as
iRise
(Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and International Staff Network) and
PRISM
which help us to progress equality. Please note the closing date for applications is
