Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing financial insights, supporting decision making, and ensuring the smooth financial operation of our two trading companies. The candidate should have a strong background in manufacturing finance, cost control, and management reporting.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare
monthly management accounts
for both trading companies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Support the Finance Director in the preparation of annual
budgets and forecasts. Assist in year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors. Maintain
balance sheet reconciliations
and ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.
Cost & Performance Management
Conduct
cost analysis
to improve
profitability
and
cost efficiencies
in the manufacturing process. Monitor and report on
manufacturing KPIs , including wastage, productivity, and cost per unit. Work closely with
operations and procurement teams
to improve cost control.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Monitor and manage
cash flow
to ensure optimal working capital levels. Oversee
credit control
and
supplier payment schedules .
Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with
financial regulations ,
tax obligations , and
corporate policies . Implement and maintain strong
financial controls
and
process improvements . Assist with VAT returns, payroll, and other regulatory reporting.
Systems & Process Improvement
Support the implementation and improvement of
finance systems
to enhance reporting and efficiency. Develop dashboards and reporting tools for better business insights. Identify and implement
efficiencies
in finance and operational processes.
Key Skills & Qualifications: Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) . Experience in
food manufacturing
or FMCG is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in
ERP/accounting systems
(e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar). Advanced
Excel skills
and ability to handle large datasets. Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence business decisions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
