As a Modeller in Carbon Markets, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building the next generation of sustainability analytics. Leveraging your quantitative skills in economics, statistics, data science, and Python (or other programming languages such as R), you will develop and maintain scalable, data-driven solutions. You will also maintain and improve the model codebase (e.g. perform code reviews, identify sources of technical debt), convert business requirements into modelling problems, and engage with business stakeholders to explain model insights. Your work will drive actionable insights for our analytics subscribers and empower strategic decision-making. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the core modelling framework for carbon market analytics and related analytics suites. Design and implement mathematical and economic optimization models tailored to solve complex, real-world problems. Collaborate closely with product managers and engineering teams to define modelling objectives and integrate our analytics into the broader product and technology ecosystems. Ensure code quality across the model development process both in your own work and in reviewing the work of colleagues. Oversee rigorous testing, validation, and stress-testing of models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and alignment with industry best practices. Identify opportunities to optimize model scalability and performance, and work with engineers to ensure the ability to handle large datasets and intricate market scenarios efficiently. Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements in programming frameworks and carbon market developments, incorporating relevant innovations into modelling practices. Prepare detailed documentation and present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. in economic and/or mathematical modelling. Advanced proficiency

in Python (or similar programming languages such as R), including experience using common data science packages. Experience working with optimization modelling tools and packages (e.g., PuLP, Pyomo, Gurobi) is desirable. Experience using cloud-based computing services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to host, deploy and execute models is desirable. Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket) and other collaborative development tools and platforms (e.g. GitHub, Jira, Asana). Knowledge of carbon markets, regulatory frameworks, and emissions trading systems is highly desirable. Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. A self-starter with strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
