The company focuses on developing and manufacturing compressor technology for their global customer base from their site in Glasgow. Job Description Undertake the design, specification and technical review of electrical, control and instrumentation equipment associated within their rotating equipment area. Select, design and specify solutions for a wide range of electrical equipment including medium and low voltage motors and drives, equipment power distribution systems, PLC control systems and instrumentation for rotating machinery. Update EC&I requirements of technical specifications Attend customer design progress meetings for current contracts or proposals. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Manage departmental budget and resource allocation. Foster a culture of safety and quality within the department. The Successful Applicant A successful EC&I Engineer should have: BEng in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Proven experience in a relevant engineering role - EC&I design and specification of large & small motors, drive packages, control systems, instrumentation. Experience of High Voltage Motors specification and selection would be beneficial. Computer literacy, competency in Microsoft 365.
