JOB DESCRIPTION

The Job Mission We’re looking for an experienced

Commissioning Engineer (HVAC)

to join our growing team in Bridgwater, contributing to one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects. You’ll oversee preparation, testing, and delivery of HVAC commissioning activities, ensuring readiness for safe operations. Responsibilities include: Develop and review commissioning documentation for testing and system validation. Participate in design reviews to ensure systems are commissioning-friendly. Plan and manage a programme of HVAC commissioning tests. Execute commissioning activities safely and supervise contractor teams. Analyse results, identify anomalies, and propose solutions. Ensure compliance with nuclear, environmental, and industrial safety standards. Prepare and manage handover documentation in line with HPC procedures. Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and teams.

MY PROFILE

Essential Skills and Qualifications: Degree in mechanical, industrial, or process engineering. Strong technical background in HVAC commissioning, maintenance, or operation. Experience in the nuclear or another highly regulated industry. Awareness of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements. Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical expertise. Skilled in stakeholder management and collaborative problem-solving. Desired Skills and Qualifications: Chartered Engineer (or equivalent professional standing). Experience with HVAC systems on nuclear power plants. Familiarity with UK safety case processes and licensing requirements. Commercial awareness and programme-driven project experience. Proven history of working within safety and quality-driven environments.
