Take full responsibility for capturing and transparently communicating risk to traders and management.
Conduct risk analysis with a focus on the European gas and power markets (particularly the UK).
Ensure that risk reporting is focused on providing information, not data, in a concise and simple manner to enable timely and fully informed decisions.
Ensure that the risk assessment of new business related to the Desk is comprehensive and appropriate to the risk/return profile.
Further develop risk management for renewable PPAs and long-term contracts, including challenging trading and hedging strategies, and contribute to the development of risk governance and risk management strategies to maintain a best practice approach to risk assessment and valuation.
Define and monitor limits.
Support the implementation of risk and PnL measurement for power assets in the new risk system based on the Beacon platform by specifying requirements from a risk manager perspective, streamlining processes, and conducting user acceptance testing.
