We are looking for an experienced leader to join our board as Trust Deputy Chief Executive. Reporting directly to the Trust Chief Executive and working collaboratively with executive colleagues, the ideal candidate will provide inspirational leadership, with strong values that match ours and role model an unwavering drive to deliver the strategic ambition of the Trust as an anchor organisation in healthcare for the city of Manchester and borough of Trafford. The Trust Deputy Chief Executive is a pivotal role to MFT’s future success as we push to improve the care and services for the people of Manchester, Trafford and beyond. Applicants will have executive experience in an acute trust with a significant research, innovation, and teaching portfolio or as an NHS Trust Chief Executive who wishes to join one of the largest NHS provider organisations in the country. You must be a self-starter with the motivation to excel in the role, including a commitment to staff engagement and an ability to foster collaboration and deliver. Main Duties of the Job

Leadership and delivery of programme benefits associated with the new operating model and organisational structure acting as Senior Responsible Officer for the continued delivery of the Organisational Change programme and MFT Operating Model. Support and maintain oversight of the Trust’s agenda, including strategy, partnerships, and general delivery alongside supporting in the day-to-day line management of the Clinical Group Chief Executives. Work with, as part of, the Board of Directors to provide leadership to deliver the strategic ambitions of MFT undertaking dedicated programmes of work or assignments as agreed with the Trust Chief Executive. Lead and develop excellent working relationships with the wider Greater Manchester system including the ICB, local authority, local communities including GPs, health organisations, and interest groups. Skills, Knowledge Requirements & Experience (Strategic Leadership)

Recent Chief Executive / Executive Director experience in a large and complex NHS Trust. Significant Director level experience of working in a large and complex NHS Trust. Track record in the successful management & leadership of an extensive team. A proven ability to deliver consistently to best practice standards. Qualifications - Academic/Professional

General education to degree level, or equivalent relevant experience. Track record of continuous personal and professional development. Professional Clinical Registration. Skills, Knowledge Requirements & Experience (Wider NHS & Health Context)

A solid and evident understanding of NHS dynamics and the values of the UK public sector. Knowledge of current national and GM NHS / Care systems. Personal Attributes
