For more info: www.medius.com Role Overview: We're seeking an experienced and visionary VP of Product to lead our Upstream value stream. This includes solutions such as strategic sourcing, contract management, procurement, supplier management, and more. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate Medius's strategic goals into impactful product strategies and roadmaps, possess exceptional project and stakeholder management skills, and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities. As a skilled communicator and leader, you will inspire and align cross-functional teams while driving product excellence and customer value. You should have significant experience working in agile development environments within fast-growing SaaS organisations. This role will collaborate closely with product marketing, sales, customer success, professional services, engineering, and partner teams to ensure the successful development, delivery, and adoption of the Medius product suite. Role Specifics: Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and articulate the Medius product vision, ensuring alignment with company goals and market needs. Analyse, prioritise, and define the short and long-term product roadmap (3-18 months) for individual value streams, incorporating cross-product dependencies. Champion a customer-centric approach to product development by leading customer advisory boards, conducting interviews, and analysing quantitative and qualitative insights. Keep abreast of market trends, compliance changes, legislative updates, and competitor intelligence to refine product strategies and maintain competitive differentiation. Facilitate the discovery and scoping process, including research, product sprint workshops, and customer validation. Build robust business cases for roadmap topics, leveraging data-driven justifications and creating clear documentation such as one-pagers and Amazon narratives. Define and track OKRs/KPIs to evaluate the success of product investments and use outcome-based metrics to drive continuous improvement. Establish scalable processes for managing scope, prioritisation, and delivery while ensuring alignment with Medius's broader value proposition. Market Intelligence: Conduct competitive analysis and benchmark Medius's offerings against leading solutions in the market. Attend and present at industry events to establish thought leadership and build strategic relationships. Share insights from market research and customer engagement with internal teams to align efforts across development and go-to-market strategies. Work closely with pricing teams to develop optimal pricing strategies and guide go-to-market positioning. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure end-to-end product success; from ideation to delivery and post-launch growth. Align product strategy with company objectives, promoting transparency and shared ownership across departments. Actively participate in sprint planning and monthly development reviews to drive agile excellence. Present updates on the roadmap and product vision to the organization in monthly forums. Business Support: Support sales efforts by presenting product strategy and delivering compelling executive-level presentations to customers and prospects. Participate in Customer Steering Committees as the senior product leader, providing expert insights into the Medius vision and roadmap. Act as a key spokesperson for Medius's upstream solutions, representing the company's thought leadership in spend management. Requirements: 7+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role (e.g., VP, Director, or Head of Product). At least 3 years of product management experience in fintech, SaaS, or financial services. Extensive knowledge of SaaS solutions for Procurement and Finance teams, including experience with strategic sourcing, contract management, procurement, and supplier management. Proven expertise in applying AI and machine learning technologies to enhance product offerings and streamline internal processes. Strong experience with agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ProductBoard. Experience driving product innovation within competitive, high-growth markets. Demonstrated ability to align product strategies with business goals and deliver results through measurable KPIs. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to build, inspire, and retain high-performing product teams. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distil complex concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences. Experience with pricing strategies and coordinating go-to-market initiatives is desirable.
