Job Description Ensure a positive safety culture within the operations and maintenance team and be directly responsible for ensuring the Health and Safety of all personnel on the sites. Acting as the primary liaison between the EPC Contractor and the Company to ensure that all activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in compliance with company policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements. Be proactive in identifying, evaluating and communicating project risks and opportunities to Management. Oversee all activities to ensure that they are carried out to the highest HSE standards and in compliance with HSE Regulations. Oversee daily operations of the plant, ensuring all production and other operational targets are met. Address and resolve any operational issues that arise, coordinating with relevant parties as necessary. Ensure all maintenance activities (both planned and unplanned) are carried out safely, effectively and efficiently, meeting all maintenance KPIs. Prepare and submit regular reports on production, safety, operational and commercial performance to group management and other stakeholders as required. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Manage and mentor staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions. Report to senior management on department performance and progress. Stay abreast of latest industry trends and advancements. The Successful Applicant A successful General Manager should have: A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Proven experience in a managerial role within the industrial or manufacturing industry. Experience of supervising industrial development sites. Knowledge and experience of working under CDM regulations and knowledge of UK HSE Regulations. Knowledge and experience of running Permits to Work and RAMS. Experience of managing Contractors and overseeing the successful delivery of contracted scopes of work. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines. Commitment to continuous learning and development. What's on Offer A competitive salary.
