Monday 3rd February Job Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Telecoms Engineer to assist with the installation and setup of VergeSense wireless access points across their clients' site. The ideal candidate will have experience working with wireless networking equipment, particularly in commercial environments, and be familiar with configuring and installing access points, ensuring network coverage, and performing post-installation testing. Key Responsibilities: Installation of VergeSense Wireless Access Points:

Install VergeSense access points as per the provided layout and technical specifications. Ensure the correct placement of access points to optimize wireless coverage and network performance. Set up required cabling, mounts, and necessary hardware for installation.

Configuration and Integration:

Assist in configuring the VergeSense access points, including network settings, IP addressing, and security protocols. Integrate the VergeSense access points with the existing network infrastructure (if applicable).

Testing and Troubleshooting:

Conduct thorough testing to ensure proper functionality and network connectivity. Perform troubleshooting for any installation-related issues and resolve problems promptly.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed installation records, including access point locations, configurations, and any issues encountered. Provide reports on progress and completion of installation tasks.

Qualifications: Proven experience in wireless network installation, particularly with access points. Familiarity with VergeSense hardware and wireless technologies (or similar systems). Knowledge of network configurations, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and security protocols (WPA2, WPA3, etc.). Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including network diagrams and installation manuals. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently. Preferred Skills: Experience with VergeSense software or related IoT devices. Networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, etc.) are a plus. Previous experience in commercial or enterprise-level network installation projects.
