Senior Electronics Engineer

you will play a vital role in

providing technical leadership and conducting electronic engineering activities in the design, development, test and documentation of company products and their manufacturing test systems. What you will do: Carry out electronic engineering design and development to meet project requirements, to include: Architectural design Component identification and specification Detailed circuit design PCB layout and specification Prototype PCB evaluation and troubleshooting Support the activities of the Test & Acceptance team on hardware integration and test, Test plan development and execution, and Test report writing Technical documentation Participate in hardware design, build and other reviews Act as technical authority when assigned that role on small projects Support the Project Engineer in their role of coordinating project activities What we are looking for: You will preferably have

a 1st or 2:1 class degree (or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject.

We are particularly interested in receiving your application if you have experience in any of the following areas: Knowledge of communications systems equipment specification, design or test Understanding of communications modulation techniques Significant experience of the following: Electronic circuit design, prototyping and development The full product development lifecycle Practical experience of some of the following: Analogue, digital and RF electronics Introduction of new products into a manufacturing environment Basic understanding of network technologies Experience with the following tools and packages would be beneficial: Altium designer or anything similar Logic analyser Signal Generator Audio analyser Oscilloscopes Soldering Concepts of PCB layout using CAD tools And although not essential, the following would be desirable: Knowledge of a scripting language (like Python) Microcontroller programming FPGA programming (Verilog, VHDL) Security Clearance: Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Please note that in the event that BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of security.
