London Reports to Head of Culture & Engagement We’re looking for someone brilliant to join our Culture and Engagement team and play a vital role in innovating the way we connect our people, to each other and to Aztec and bring to life the intangible ways our culture means we are the Bright Alternative. The Culture and Engagement team builds and works on employee-centric campaigns, events and initiatives across culture, inclusion and belonging, health and wellbeing, employee listening and internal events. In this highly varied role, you will take some of our most important strategic projects from conception and prioritisation, through to execution, by collaborating with people from all parts of the business. We’re on a transformative journey at Aztec, so there’ll be plenty of opportunity to roll up your sleeves, get involved and create magic. You will play a pivotal role in helping to shape the way the business evolves and achieves its ambitions. You will need to be able to balance the strategic with the operational, developing and delivering a commercially focussed, creative and thoughtful employee experience proposition and plan that underpins our Culture and Engagement and global business strategies. Key responsibilities: Develop, project lead and budget manage Aztec’s largest experiential hybrid learning and engagement programme (circa. 6 months long), culminating in a series of festival style events across 4 locations. Act as a strategic thinking partner to the Head of Culture, CPO and Aztec’s leadership team, challenging and shaping a creative and thoughtful employee experience proposition as part of the Aztec’s people strategies. Support the design and innovation of an annual programme of internal events, campaigns and initiatives that tune into and elevate the employee experience - driving connection, alignment, and belonging – and supports the strategic goals of the Culture & Engagement agenda and delivers on the needs of the organisation. Build, track and report on key data points, against objectives, that build insights to inform strategic decision making and measures success, including a sustainability road map for employee events. Lead internal and external communications plans or campaigns that support programme delivery. Curate opportunities for networking, conversations and space for cross-team moments that matter, strengthening the bonds between colleagues and Aztec. Provide events expertise and guidance to various stakeholders across the business, including our People and Social Networks. Work with a motivated team of talented event and engagement professionals, fostering creativity, collaboration, and excellence. Travel to other jurisdictions, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and partners. Manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and maximize commercial value while maintaining high standards. Strategically and diplomatically deal with any challenges that may arise and suggest alternatives and solutions to those opportunities. Stay abreast of industry trends, seeking new ways to enhance the employee experience through events, rituals, icons or moments. Skills, knowledge, expertise: Extensive experience working on live events, festivals, conferences and award shows, as well as producing virtual and hybrid events. Experience or genuine interest in workplace culture and driving employee experience and connectivity. Strong communication skills, the ability to influence and create positive impact. Effective leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation abilities. Financial and commercial mindset with experience in managing large budgets. Ability to track, measure and evaluate impact and return on investment. Creativity and a passion for creating engaging, forward-thinking, innovative events.
