We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in driving Royal Mail's data strategy, collaborating closely with our Data Analytics and Data Science teams. This role will ensure the highest engineering standards and best practices for product delivery. As part of our transformation into a tech-driven company, you will help implement innovative data use cases that have a significant impact on the business. Expect high visibility, leadership responsibility, and a direct role in delivering both capital and business-as-usual (BAU) projects on time and within budget. Experience in Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) and AI is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to create scalable, automated solutions for data science models and drive further innovation. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES You will take ownership of the following areas: • Drive simple, standardised and innovative ways to ingest, process, store, analyse various data sources • Design, implementation and monitoring of our cloud data platform • Work with the Data Science team to deploy machine learning user cases to production • Drive automation in the continuous integration pipelines, infrastructure management and configuration • Drive partnerships with engineering and product/business teams to deliver on cross-functional value and collaboration.
