The Corporate Security team is responsible for the security and protection of all OpenAI employees and executives. About the Role As the Corporate Security Manager based in our London office, you will lead day-to-day security operations in London and support our broader physical security strategies throughout the EMEA region. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that OpenAI’s security posture remains strong and adaptive in a fast-evolving environment. This position requires hands-on experience in corporate security operations. This role typically involves five days in the office each week. In this role, you will: Office Security:

Develop, implement, and manage physical security measures, including policies, systems, and vendor relationships, to protect employees and visitors in the London office. International Offices:

Support the International Director to safeguard OpenAI’s global footprint, assisting with security assessments, incident response, and ongoing mitigation strategies. Events:

Partner with our Resilience Team to coordinate secure operations for international events, and support the Corporate Security Protection Team in executive travel logistics. Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement:

Establish and strengthen relationships with local law enforcement agencies, peer security organizations, and other external partners to stay current on emerging risks. Policy Development & Compliance:

Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training programs, and compliance initiatives, ensuring all protocols meet high-quality standards and legal requirements. You might thrive in this role if you: Professional Experience:

10+ years in corporate security and/or law enforcement/military environments. Physical Security:

Operations skills relevant to the safeguarding of a large office. Technical Experience:

Implementing and optimizing advanced security technologies—such as access control, surveillance, and intrusion detection systems. Vendor Management:

A successful track record of evaluating, selecting, and managing third-party security vendors and contracted services. Relationship Building:

Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with internal teams and external agencies, forging strong, collaborative relationships. Operational Leadership:

Proven skill in creating, revising, and executing SOPs to ensure consistent and efficient security practices, alongside training programs for both security personnel and broader teams. Adaptability & Resilience:

Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, swiftly pivoting in response to emerging threats or organizational changes. Travel:

Ability and willingness to travel for regional offices, also to support various events a few times each quarter.
